Summary Description: The Clinical Label Press Operator sets-up and operates a narrow web flexographic press to produce high quality single and full-color, complex multi-panel booklet labels.
Responsibilities: Set-up and operate press; read job specifications and mount plates; set-up and insert rotary dies; splice roll material together; adjust speed, tension, and alignment as necessary; inspect product to meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications; remove waste rolls and finished rolls; complete necessary paperwork; perform minor maintenance and repair of equipment; and perform general housekeeping.
ATL operates in a FDA regulated environment where perfection is expected. Qualified candidates will possess:
Strong knowledge of flexographic operations and quality consciousness; ability to read and interpret job specifications and work from drawings and written instructions; ability to use measuring instruments and basic mathematics skills; solid mechanical aptitude; experience in selection of anilox rollers and plate mounting; rotary die cutting experience; ability to multi-task with strong problem solving skills and attention to detail; knowledge of ink mixing/color matching; ability to work independently, as well as, part of a team; consistent work history; knowledge of Mark Andy presses a plus.
4+ years of progressive flexographic press experience
Standing: continuously; Walking: frequently; Reaching & Working Overhead: frequently; Repetitive Hand Motion: occasionally; Pushing & Pulling: moving skids; Lifting Weight: 50 - 100#.
Wage & Hours:
Starting Salary Range: $15 - $17/hour, commensurate with ability. Third shift premium - $.75/hour, Shift Hours: Sunday through Thursday - 10:00 pm - 6:00 am, Initial training provided on first shift.
